Heating, Air-Conditioning, and Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI), in collaboration with Distro, is excited to introduce AskA2L, a new AI-enhanced tool designed to assist with the A2L refrigerant transition in the HVACR sector. This transition poses significant challenges for industry experts who need to navigate through extensive regulatory and research documents to understand its implications on their operations.
In response to the demand for swift and precise information, HARDI joined forces with Distro, a company at the forefront of AI technology, to create a chat platform tailored for queries related to the A2L transition.
AskA2L offers a user-friendly and inclusive platform, enabling HVACR professionals, from distributors to field technicians, to stay updated with the latest standards and regulatory news on A2L refrigerants. The platform is regularly updated with authoritative resources from the Environmental Protection Agency, the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute’s Safe Refrigerant Transition Task Force, and other industry-specific documentation to ensure the provision of reliable and comprehensive responses.
Jason Sullivan, the Founder and CEO of Distro, expressed excitement about the partnership with HARDI, highlighting the synergy between Distro’s AI and software prowess and HARDI’s deep industry knowledge. This collaboration aims to facilitate the A2L transition for HARDI’s members and the broader HVACR community.
Moreover, Alex Ayers, the Vice President of Government Affairs at HARDI, emphasized the tool’s significance in providing timely and accurate A2L-related information, which is essential for everyday operations in the industry. He noted that while AskA2L was initially intended for HARDI members, its benefits extend to the entire industry, prompting them to offer public access and encourage user feedback for ongoing enhancement.
