Five Star Home Services, a family-run company since its establishment in 1972, is undergoing a significant leadership change. Kip Morris, the CEO, has announced that Christian Rattin, the company’s president, will be taking over as the new CEO, effective immediately. The Morris family, particularly brothers Kip and Brett, has led the company to substantial growth, expanding its workforce to over 200 employees and extending its reach across three major metropolitan areas in Ohio.
The company, originally a small operation in Pickerington, Ohio, founded by Howard Morris Sr., has made a significant impact through charitable and nonprofit initiatives, notably founding the Emerge Recovery & Trade Initiative. Christian Rattin, with over 20 years of sales experience and 15 years in management, has been instrumental in these efforts. He is particularly passionate about Five Star’s “Profit On Purpose” model, which he coined, where the company donates 5% of its profits to causes like Emerge Recovery & Trade Initiative.
Kip Morris and other major owners will form a board of directors to guide the company’s future growth, with Kip serving as chairman. The focus will be on community efforts in Columbus and Dayton, led by Brett Morris and Kip Morris, respectively.
This transition marks a new era for Five Star Home Services, with Rattin emphasizing the continuation and expansion of the company’s community service and “Profit On Purpose” initiatives. He aims to lead the company to greater heights while maintaining its core values and commitment to making a positive impact in the community.
